Peter Broderick is one of the most talented and rising young composers to emerge in recent years. At age 7 he started on the violin, and over the years has experimented with a variety of eclectic instruments. He’s been a key member of respected bands such as Horse Feathers in the US and Danish band Efterklang, who he continues to tour with in amongst his solo shows. Peter’s active touring schedule has taken him around the world, and he currently splits time between Berlin and Portland, Oregon.

It is through his solo music that Peter has earned greatest critical acclaim, from his folk-inspired vocal albums on Bella Union to more alternative classical pieces in solo piano and experimental sounds via specialist labels. The scope of peter’s work is vast – his recordings and original score work currently feature in dance arrangements, art installations, films, documentaries and advertisements. He recently completed work with Clint Mansell on Massy Tadjedin’s feature ‘Last Night’. Peter’s signature emotional depth cuts through any instrument to create stirring, personal music that is full of artistic detail.
