WHO: BBH & AXE/LYNX
THE MUSIC: a new reworking of AIR’s classic, “Sexy Boy”
THE BRIEF: Create a theme song for the Angels that is epic and pure yet still fun and unexpected. Make a soundtrack that can tell the story without any VO or dialogue, and that will compliment Rupert Sanders’ stunning direction.
WHAT WE DID: Music & score supervision across the project. We worked with Roger Neill (who has previously orchestrated arrangements for AIR) to create a new choral and string version of their hit classic, and recorded in legendary Lyndhurst Hall, Air Studios (coincidental, no?), London. The song is released as a single under the artist “The Fallen Angels” in tandem with a digital strategy to work alongside the campaign.
WHAT THEY SAID: ‘This was the first ever truly global LYNX/AXE film. Whilst the film is epic and beautifully crafted we wanted the music to both reflect the dramatic narrative of the corrupted angels but also have a lightness of touch you’d expect from AXE. Susan found the track, got Air on board and helped rerecord our own choral version. She was an integral part of our team from start to finish.’

‘Lynx has a heritage of making films with great memorable music. Susan absolutely delivered on Angels’
